# Modules

Modules are reusable policy components. They encapsulate blocks, events, and configuration for a specific capability.

Each module isolates its internal structure from the policy. It exposes variables and input or output events as its external interface.

### Why use modules?

Use modules to:

* Reuse common policy logic across multiple policies.
* Keep complex policy workflows organized and maintainable.
* Exchange data with surrounding blocks through defined interfaces.

You can create, import, export, and add modules in the Policy Editor.
